Wonder Butter was born from a refusal — a refusal to dilute. In a category crowded with thirty-ingredient creams that promise everything and deliver little, we chose the opposite: a single, unrefined ingredient, pressed slow and left exactly as the karité tree made it.
Sourced from a women's cooperative
Our shea is hand-harvested by a women's cooperative in the West African Sahel, where the karité tree is sacred. The nuts are roasted, ground, and cold-pressed — a method unchanged for generations.
We pay above market rate, source directly, and never bleach or deodorise. What reaches your skin is the whole, honest substance — and the cooperative keeps the value of their labour.
